2004 APCAC General Assembly and Commercial Meeting

The General Assembly and Commercial Meeting was held on September 15th to 18th, at the Hilton Hotel of Cartagena, Colombia.

During the Commercial Meeting, Mr. Carlos A. Ossa, guest speaker from the ICPC Bogota, talked about the “New Vision of Cement and Concrete Promotion”. The APCAC Board of Directors, also presented a global report of the cement industry in the Caribbean, with a very interesting participation also from the associates representatives.

The General Assembly approved the membership of the Cimenterie Nationale, SEM, CINA of Haiti and welcomed the new Board of Directors 2004-2005.

The staff of Colclinker received the delegates, with a visit to the plant and also the presentation of Mr. Morten Kielland as guest speaker, from United Bulk Carrier (UBC), sharing important information with an “Overview of the Freight Market today and Perspectives for 2005”.

Participants also took advantage of the attendance to the X Concrete Meeting, Asocreto 2004 and enjoyed several social events organized by the organizing Committeee of this successful event.
