Trinidad Highlights
& Shopping
Visit
Trinidad’s highlights on this comprehensive guided tour.
You’ll pass by the lighthouse, the striking Parliament
building known as the Red House as well as the “Magnificent
Seven”, a row of imposing colonial houses originally
built at the turn of the century as private residences. Continuing
around the Queens Park Savannah, you’ll make a brief
stop at the tropical Botanical Gardens, a cool shady enclave
of exotic trees and tropical flowers.
Then it’s a short drive to Lady Young Lookout for an
excellent panoramic view of Port of Spain. Departing, you’ll
head for Santa Cruz Valley with its endless cocoa and coffee
plantations. The drive through this valley is approximately
20 minutes and from here we continuing along the scenic North
Coast Road, you will take in a panoramic view at Maracas Lookout
followed by a brief stop at Maracas Beach, Trinidad’s
most beautiful and popular. After lunch, you will have the
opportunity to buy in the shopping area.
Down
the Island Boat Cruise
We commence our tour with a 20
minutes drive alo ng
the scenic coastal roadway overlooking the Gulf of Paria and
surrounded by the Northern Range. Then we make our way to
the Trinidad Yacht Club where we board our Bertrand Motor
Yacht and set sail. We first pass-by the five islands one
of which is Nelson Island - a Prison. From here we continue
towards the other larger islands like Gaspar Grande, Monos,
Huevos and Chacachacare, where we make our stop for sea bathing
on a secluded sandy beach.
During your cruise, you will be treated to an open bar, refreshments
and local music for your enjoyment. These islands amaze many
cruise ship passengers with their beauty and you have the
opportunity to get even closer to them on this cruise.
